While volunteering and travelling extensively in Ecuador in 2006, David Handelman learned about the true tragic case of environmental ruin in the Amazon jungle that forms the base of this otherwise fictional story. In an effort to bring this environmental disaster to light, he wrote this page-turning murder mystery. David is a concerned, tree-hugging global citizen who works to protect the planet for future generations and attempts to hold corporations accountable for their environmental and social actions. He lives in Ottawa, Canada with his family.
